“When In Rome, do as the Romans do.” Soย When In Manila… is our way of presenting to you the cool & awesome stuff in the Philippines. Here, it’s as beautiful as Indonesia, equally affordable as Thailand and even more amazing than Mars!
ย
ย
WhenInManila.com is the brainchild of four friends, Vince Golangco, Harold Soon, Jason Qua & Francis Simisim, who wanted to express their creative juices while also showcasing their favorite places in and around the Philippines.
ย
ย
The premise of WhenInManila.com was to follow Vince (who lived in the States for over 10 years) as he fumbled around and rediscovered the Philippines.
ย
ย
We realized that other nearby countries, such as Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and more, have very good reputations of being the best getaway places for relaxing vacations and wonderful discoveries. The funny thing is that the Philippines is just as friendly as Malaysia, just as affordable as Thailand and just as beautiful as Indonesia. Yet, the Philippines onlyย receivedย 3 million visitors (tourists) in 2008, while the other saidย countriesย averaged about 15 million each!
ย
ย
We didn’t think that it was fair to hide the underground caves of Palawan, the white sands of Boracay, the crystal clear waters of Camarines, the festivals of Cebu, the waves of Siargao, the landscape of Baguio, the crater lake of Pinatubo, theย mouthwateringย food of Bacolod, the spectacular views in Tagaytay, the culture in Davao, the parties in Manila and SO MUCH MORE!
ย
ย
ย
Our promise is to highlight the VERY BEST that the Philippines has to offer. Great food, friendly people, relaxing beaches, white sands, clear waters, spectacular views etc…

yes, maswerte tlaga tayo at nandito tayo sa Pilipinas. nde na kailangang mag travel ng malayo… Bait tlaga ni Lord.
I love the Philippines!! I realized how blessed this country is when I did some traveling. Bicol, Cebu, Boracay & Bohol are some of the most frequented tourist spots in the country nowadays and fortunately I’ve experienced & seen my share of paradise in these places. As for now I’m craving to go to Davao and Ilocos. There are still numerous places this country has to offer and there are many yet to be rediscovered. B)
In the US, they say people only knew of the place(s) they grew up in. Usually they are only familiar of their own town or city , don’t even care of other places even in their own country and doesn’t do much traveling.
kaya nga ang daming tourist ang naaakit pumunta dito.
swerte natin, dito tayo nkatira sa Pilipinas… konting panahon n lng, malilibot din natin ang buong Philippines.
