Mere days after Woojin announced that he would be leaving Stray Kids due to personal reasons, Wonho has also announced that he would be leaving Monsta X. Starhip Entertainment, the agency of Monsta X, tweeted about the departure a couple of days ago, stating that it would be best to part ways with Wonho amicably at this point. They stated that they respect his decision and mention that Wonho hopes that these events will not distract from the exciting things in Monsta X’s future.
This comes after rumors that Wonho owes Jung Da Eun, who appeared with Wonho on the show ‘Ulzzang Shidae’, money. Wonho has also written a letter of apology to his fans, where he apologizes for not being able to keep his promise of only providing them with good memories. He also apologizes for causing his fans pain, and for causing concern to many people due to his personal issues. “I have reached this decision after seeing many people having a hard time because of me,” he wrote.
Monsta X fans have since been tweeting their support with the hashtags #WonhoWeLoveYou and #FightForWonho Sadly, Wonho’s departure appears to be immediate, and he will no longer be making any appearances with Monsta X moving forward.
