The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) released an app that will let you have an idea of the price of commodities in certain local markets or “palengke.”
The Presyo sa Palengke Mobile Application (PPMA) contains information for 34 commodities from 11 markets in Metro Manila.
It is a pilot project of the PSA related to the dissemination of data through the mobile application. Specifically, the objective is to disseminate the output of the Retail Price Survey (RPS) of agri-food commodities conducted in selected markets in Metro Manila.
Through this mobile app, clients can monitor retail prices of selected commodities anytime anywhere using their mobile devices with the Internet connection. In the future, this mobile app will be upgraded to cater to more markets nationwide with more commodities as covered by the RPS.
It’s available for Android only as of the moment.
