Winwyn Marquez is making her pageantry comeback after eight years! The beauty queen and actress will represent Muntinlupa City in the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines 2025.
As she vies to become the country’s delegate to the 74th Miss Universe, which will be held in Thailand, Winwyn took to social media to reflect on her pageantry journey.
“It has been 10 years since I first stepped onto a pageant stage, 8 years since I became Miss Filipinas and lived a dream I worked so hard for outside the pageant world,” she recalled.
“Then I took a step back and embraced the most beautiful role of my life.. becoming a mother. I embraced it fully but deep down I still had my what ifs.”
She then emphasized that she hadn’t expected pageantry to open new opportunities for a mother like her again.
“Who would’ve thought that this door would open again? For a mother, for a woman at this stage in life. But when it did, I felt it. I had to take it.. because I am more than ready – I am WHOLE,” she continued.

Winwyn expressed her determination to showcase what she’s capable of as she competes in this year’s Miss Universe Philippines, stating, “Joining this journey is already a WIN for me. But more than that, I’m here to show you what it truly means to be a Reina. To prove that dreams don’t have deadlines, that beauty isn’t just what you see, and that strength comes in many forms.”
The Filipina beauty queen won the country’s first Reina Hispanoamericana crown in 2017. She also competed in Binibining Pilipinas 2015, where she bagged the Best National Costume, Miss Talent, and She’s So JAG awards.
In 2022, she gave birth to her first child, Luna.
