One of the first few bands to come out as foreign sounding, Urbandub, led by Gab Alipe, is a group of Cebuano musicians. They’ve been in the music scene a few years before major recording studios took notice of them. The band’s patience paid off, as they are now one of the most famous Filipino Rock Bands.
10. Franco – Cast Away
The powerful voice of Franco will get you to listen on. Franco, a band initially formed with the legends from different OPM Rock bands such as Buwi Meneses of Parokya ni Edgar, Gab Alipe and Jan Jan Mendoza of Urbandub and Paolo “8” Toleran of Queso, with Franco Reyes as the lead vocalist. However due to whatever reasons they had, the rock veterans left the band. Now Franco plays with his original band mates from Cebu and is now on his 2nd studio album.
