Free education has always been a passionate subject for many. After all, who doesn’t want to study for free? Everybody can agree that education is vital in the success and development of any country, and so should be one of the top priorities of a nation.

So, what a great thing it is now that, since the signing of the free tuition law earlier this year, five state universities in the vicinity of Manila now grant free education to all of its students! Hooray, Philippines! Listed below are these five universities granting free education as of 2018:

University of the Philippines Diliman
Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila
Polytechnic University of the Philippines
Technological University of the Philippines
University of the Philippines Manila

But, of course, the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act applies only to government-run universities. So sorry, folks, privately-run universities around Manila aren’t eligible under this new law.

To keep you updated on these tuition fees, we’ve created some helpful infographics that summarize this year’s tuition fees of these universities according to the various courses that they offer.
