Rein Entertainment has officially released its movie trailer for “Nanahimik Ang Gabi” (A Silent Night) starring Ian Veneracion, Heaven Peralejo, and Mon Confiado, one of the entries in this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival.
The movie is about two lovers who go on a secret weekend getaway in a secluded mansion. Their passionate night of illicit affair quickly turned into a nightmare when a deranged intruder invades their love nest.
This suspense-thriller was written and directed by Shugo Praico who also directed the socio-political thriller series Bagman and the LGBTQ+ series Betcin who were both recognized in the Asian Academy Creative Awards in 2020 and this year respectively.
Nanahimik Ang Gabi is Rein Entertainment’s first MMFF entry. In July, it was announced that it was among the first four titles selected to take part in the festival along with “Labyu with an Accent” with Coco Martin and Jodi Sta. Maria, “Partners in Crime” with Vice Ganda and Ivana Alawi, and “The Teacher” with Toni Gonzaga and Joey de Leon.
“Let’s bring back the yearly Filipino family tradition of watching the MMFF during Christmas. I hope we can all laugh, cry, get scared, and feel inspired through the different movies in the MMFF,” said Lino Cayetano, one of the movie producers from Rein Entertainment.
