How would you define ‘beauty’? People may find beauty in pale and flawless skin; a skinny physique; long, black and straight hair; or a pretty face. Not me, though. I have always believed this to be true: everyone can be beautiful in their own way. And Dove shares that mindset. Dove has always worked to broaden the acceptance of beauty, and I have personally always loved how they embrace real beauty.
I’m sure you’ve seen their inspiring videos on ‘Real Beauty’ before. In their latest video, they celebrate the unique beauty of various women, including a multi-tasking mom-of-two, a pierced and tattooed business woman, a strong yet feminine body builder, a student who has embraced the perks of her height, and a designer who is learning to love her gray locks.
This year, I’m thrilled to share that Dove Philippines is bringing their philosophy closer to home by celebrating every woman’s potential for beauty through their ‘Real Beauty is Universal’ campaign.
Everyone has a story to tell and Dove highlights each woman’s unique qualities – be it her wild curls, her first tattoo, the curves on her body, or the wrinkles on her face. These women believe there’s no one answer to the question of what makes a woman beautiful because, at the end of the day, beauty has many different faces. #Real Beauty is universal, after all.
