When In Manila, it’s the rainy season once again and with it comes the recurring problem that these torrential rains bring: flooding.
One company, however, may have just found the solution to Manila’s flooding problem: they’ve developed a type of concrete that absorbs 880 gallons of water in a minute and deposits it to a drainage system of rocks underneath. Don’t believe it? Watch the video of the concrete at work below:
Do you think we need this in Manila?
It will only work if the water has somewhere to go. Given that Manila is a bowl whosed outlets are blocked, I can’t see it working. 🙁
