Sometime in September last year, it was announced that ‘Girl From Nowhere’ would be getting a second season. Well, the time has finally come!
In case you haven’t watched the first season yet, ‘Girl From Nowhere’ is a fantasy thriller centered around Nanno (played by Kitty Chicha Amatayakul), an unconventional teenager who moves to different schools to serve her own brand of vigilante justice. The series has enjoyed success in Thailand and Southeast Asia, and seriously: you need to watch it if you haven’t yet. It has the same heavy feels as ‘Black Mirror’ and will make you keep watching.

In Season 2, Nanno tackles even bigger social injustices that take her beyond school grounds. This time, however, she is no longer the only vigilante around as another enigmatic girl follows in her shadow, forcing her to face her greatest challenge yet. I was lucky enough to be able to watch the second season ahead of time and trust me when I say that it is just as amazing as the first one.

In partnership with GMM Studios International, Netflix announced today that ‘Girl From Nowhere’ Season 2 will have its global premiere on May 7, 2021 – exclusively on Netflix. Netflix also revealed an official teaser trailer of the upcoming season, which will consist of eight 45-minute episodes. Watch the teaser trailer here:
