The ginger cat, Cala, popularly known as the “I Go Meow” cat, has passed away due to old age. Her fur mom, Elizabeth, shared the heartbreaking news on TikTok on May 30.
“I am devastated to share that Cala has passed away. I adopted Cala thinking she was young with a full life ahead of her,” she wrote in the video caption.
Elizabeth revealed Cala was older than the shelter and vet initially thought.
“However, Cala had gotten sick and was not recovering. I took her to the ER where they admitted Cala. Tests revealed she was much older than initially thought by the shelter and her vet,” she continued. “Although we were optimistic and Cala fought very hard, she was not improving.”
