The University of the Philippines’ Department of Geodetic Engineering (DGE) Representatives are thrilled to announce the commencement of GE Days 2024: Batang DGE, a weeklong celebration marking the department’s 87th anniversary. Organized by the Geodetic Engineering Representatives in partnership with the Students’ Initiative in Geodetic Engineering (SIGE), GE Days will take place from November 4-8, 2024. This year’s theme, Batang DGE, celebrates the department’s rich legacy by fostering community engagement, academic growth, and memorable experiences among students, faculty, and staff.
Each day offers a unique event aimed at connecting the DGE community. Kicking off with the DGE Kumustahan Town Hall on November 5, participants will discuss key departmental updates, academic plans, and address students’ concerns. Additional highlights include an interactive online game night; DGE Intramurals featuring classic team games; GEt Educated!, an enriching educational program; and the “GEt GEt Aw!” parlor games for students to relive Filipino childhood games. GE Days will conclude with “Jeje Jam,” a culminating night of dinner and music celebrating the event’s success and the bonds of the DGE community.
GE Days 2024: Batang DGE not only honors 87 years of geodetic engineering excellence but also strengthens camaraderie and unity within the UP DGE family, reminding us all of the joy and resilience at the heart of Batang DGE.
