Two Things Ronda Rousey lost in UFC 193

When Ronda Rousey entered the octagon with Holly Holm in the main event of UFC 193 in Australia yesterday, many expected her to win.

But when Rousey went down in the second round after a shocking headkick, she didnโ€™t just lose a match, she lost much more than just a match.

1.Ronda Rousey lost her UFC Womenโ€™s Bantamweight title

Crowned as the first UFC Womenโ€™s Bantamweight Champion in 2012, Rousey has held the title for three years, successfully defending her title from opponents like Liz Carmouche and former Olympic wrestler Sara McMann.

It was a title she held her own since it got announced, going through six successful defending matches for the title. Unfortunately, the title was on the line in her match against Holm. And now Holm holds the title of Womenโ€™s Bantamweight Champion.

2.Rousey lost her clean record since she began her MMA Career

Since she began her MMA career, Rousey has gone undefeated. With a 12-0 record in the UFC, sheโ€™s considered as the number one pound-for-pound female MMA fighter in the world and current number one Womenโ€™s Bantamweight Fighter.

She began her professional MMA career in 2011, but has been in the MMA scene since 2010 as an amateur fighter, where she was also undefeated.

She then debuted in Strikeforce on 2011. From then on, sheโ€™s been making waves in the octagon with every match, defeating opponent after opponent that she was pitted against.

After the match with Holm, her clean record now has a mark.

Of course, Rousey still has a chance to reclaim her lost title and prove that sheโ€™s still the top MMA women fighter in a rematch against Holm, which could already be on the works, but has yet to be officially announced.
