Palawan is definitely the one of the most beautiful places in the Philippines, but it can be a bit difficult to find an affordable yet beautiful piece of accommodation there.
My grandpa is actually from Puerto Princesa and when I asked him where we can stay near the airport, he suggested Purple Fountain Inn.
Less than 5 minutes away from the airport, Purple Fountain Inn is strategically located for tourists who want to go around Palawan without spending too much.
There are many things you can do in Palawan and when you are staying at Purple Fountain Inn, you can stay right in the middle of the City. Almost all of the tourist spots can be reached with a tricycle and you can travel for less than an hour to see Baker’s Hill, Baywalk, the beach and many other places.
The Inn is very bright and colourful; it looks very inviting. They have rooms that fit 2 to 10 people at very affordable prices.
The Inn is filled with dainty decorations and there is a lot of sitting room, so you can always find a quiet spot to read a book, drink coffee or just relax.
We stayed in the Family Loft, which can fit up to 10 people. There are two single beds in the upper area, three single beds and a double bed.
All of the rooms in the inn have colorful walls with artworks by local artists.
I like the small details, like the little table attached to the wall with a socket below it. It is perfect to place your mobile phone and other gadgets on. There’s also a little note for energy and water conservation.
The Family Loft has plenty of storage space, Wi-Fi, a television with Cable, a shower room, a toilet, a kitchen and a dining area.
In the loft area, there are two single beds and a terrace, so you can see what’s happening downstairs.
This sofa actually transforms into a single bed, which is just as comfortable as the actual beds.
