What I have come to learn from asking people who their favorite James Bond is, it’s that everyone has their own reasons and preferences behind their favorite Bond. I, for one, am not a particularly huge Daniel Craig fan, and therefore have been dreaming of the day when they re-cast the “tall, dark and handsome” (as I remember him being described as in the books) secret agent yet again.
My top pick for the role? Tom Hiddleston.
Well, it turns out that Tom Hiddleston is actually interested in playing James Bond.
In an interview with The Sunday Times, Tom said that he’s a huge fan of the Bond films and that he’d be up for the job’s physical demands. “I simply love the theme tune, the tropes and the mythology.
I love the whole thing,” he said. “If it ever came knocking, it would be an extraordinary opportunity.”
With Daniel Craig claiming that he won’t make another Bond movie, I really hope the opportunity does come knocking. Tom Hardy has also expressed interest in the role last year, by the way.
