Tim Yap Shares Tearjerking Story About His Rescued Dog Bambi

Tim Yap recently shared a lengthy post about his rescued pet Bambi. Although, unlike other success stories with clear happy endings, this one simply got me in tears… *ugly cries* If you want to know what I mean, then just keep reading as I did!

“Met Bambi by accident, literally. I was walking around the garden of a restaurant in Taguig and I saw her there lying on the pavement, almost lifeless,” Yap began. “If she didn’t wag her tail, I would’ve thought she was dead.”

“The guard said she was hit by a jeepney and they were surprised she was able to crawl to the shed,” he continued. Taking it as a sign to rescue the pup, he rushed her to the veterinarian to get her checked.

“Learned that Bambi was infested with parasites and needed a blood transfusion. Made her stay at Vets In Practice for two weeks then moved her to Biyaya Animal Care where Bambi also got the best care. There she had toys and was receiving red light therapy and other treatments after yet another blood transfusion,” Yap enumerated his efforts and what Bambi had to go through.

According to him, he would get daily updates on the dog’s status via Biyaya’s founder Rina Ortiz and visited her from time to time. “Even when I was away for work, I would be updated on her progress. I visited Bambi at Biyaya and saw that indeed, she was getting stronger and was happy to be alive,” he recalled.

Despite Bambi’s successful recovery, he was unable to bring Bambi home with him. “And just when I was told that Bambi was ready to come home to me, she instead came home to her Creator,” Yap revealed. “Bambi lived a very short life, but I’m happy to have been part of her little life extension and that she was surrounded by so much care and love during her last moments before she crossed over the rainbow bridge.”

“Say hello to Juanita, Inno and Teacup for me. Rest now and run free, Bambi,” he concluded.

Yap was even able to document Bambi’s journey, which he compiled and posted along with the story. Watch it below (but prepare your box of tissue first!):
