BigHit Music just announced that three BTS members were diagnosed with COVID-19.
According to the South Korean entertainment company, RM immediately underwent PCR testing after returning on Friday (December 17) from the United States as part of his official vacation period. He was found negative then and entered into self-quarantine in his home as mandated. However, he tested positive yesterday (December 25) before his scheduled release from quarantine. RM is reportedly exhibiting no particular symptoms.
Meanwhile, Jin returned to Korea on Monday (December 6) and underwent PCR testing after his return, and again before his release from quarantine. He was found negative on both, however, he needed to take another test after feeling flu-like symptoms yesterday (December 25) and was diagnosed with the disease. Jin is reportedly exhibiting mild symptoms including a slight fever and is undergoing self-treatment at home.
Suga, on the other hand, was confirmed with COVID-19 last Friday (December 24) during his self-quarantine upon his return to Korea on Thursday (December 23). He is reportedly administering self-care at home and not exhibiting any symptoms.
RM, Jin, and Suga have all reportedly completed their second dose of COVID-19 vaccinations in late August. Neither of the three had any contact with other members after their return to Korea and is currently abiding by the guidelines of healthcare authorities.
The company said that it will continue to provide support for the rapid recovery of the mentioned members of the South Korean boy band, placing their highest priority on the health and safety of its artists. They also said that they will continue to cooperate fully with the requests and guidelines of healthcare authorities.
