Black Olive opened 7 years ago in a distinguished spot in Capitol Commons. The chic space offers seating enclosed in elegant glass walls plus an alfresco dining area. The founders, being well-traveled people, sought to bring excellent international dishes at a price point that won’t burn a hole in your pockets even when you serve them at parties and events.

Their menu may be simply described as continental, but the tasty experience with their extensive menu is definitely more than that. The team behind Black Olive makes sure that they use only the finest and freshest ingredients, and that a lot of heart is put into each dish that they serve.
Italian Burger (PHP 505)
One of their bestsellers is their Italian Burger which may very well be one of the best burgers in the Metro. Even after tasting some of the most revered burgers in the city, Black Olive’s Italian Burger just offers a distinct flavor that can’t be found anywhere else.
Stroganoff Pasta (PHP 550)
If you’re into pasta, their Beef Stroganoff Pasta is worth a try. It’s made with such quality ingredients, making it super tasty and flavorful.
Black Olive Paella (PHP 855)
Their Black Olive Paella is also worth mentioning. The savory rice is overflowing with shrimp, mussels, and squid—good enough for two people!
For carnivores like me, their meat dishes made such a lasting impression.

The second floor of their space is their main event hall that can comfortably accommodate up to 50 people. But if the whole restaurant is to be rented, around 140 people can fit and enjoy delicious food.
What also sets them apart from other restaurants with event spaces is their involvement in the food aspect of their catered events. They take time to speak with their customers to discuss their preferred event menu and adjust to them accordingly.
They don’t have any set packages for events because they just want customers to be able to choose and enjoy the kind of food that they want. They even recently had an all-vegan menu crafted just for one event! That’s the type of heart and soul that Black Olive wants to bring to the food at your parties and events.
Oh, and they’re also very pet-friendly! They’ll even offer a free meal for your furry friends while they eat beside you.
After 7 years in the industry, Black Olive’s only branch remains in Capitol Commons. That’s because they wanted to be a “destination restaurant”, encouraging people to visit them all the way to their only branch just for their food and the experience. And trust us, it’s worth it.
