The Villamaria Kitchen: Szechuan Dishes to Literally Spice up Your Day

Aside from being a URRC Middleweight Champion, part of the URCC Hall of Fame, and an Atos Jiujitsu Blackbelt teacher at the Gentle Art Academy in Singapore, Froilan Sarenas II is taking on a new challenge. He says that he is currently working on bagging another championship belt but this time, the battle takes place in the kitchen.

Sarenas discovered his new passion during the quarantine – cooking spicy food, particularly the Szechuan Style Spicy Stir Fry Ma La. This was something he learned back in his stay in Singapore, frequently visiting Chinatown and hawkers that serve this very spicy types of dishes.

Named after his wife and their home, The Villamaria Kitchen offers variants of the Sichuan Style Spicy Stir Fry Ma La, Spicy Ma La Hot Pot, Spicy Ma La Pata, and bottled sauces and dips like Garlic Labuyo Oil and Sardines and Garlic in Olive Oil. The MMA Hall of Famer also shares that he is even working on some Singaporean-style salted egg dishes which will hopefully be launched before Christmas.
