The Coach: Get the Body That You Want
Do you catch yourself staring at Ellen Adarnaโs billboard along EDSA, admiring her perfectly toned body? Have you been looking at photos of Anne Curtis, wishing you had a body like hers? I have.
Iโm pretty much a health buff. I donโt like eating fast food, nor do I ever crave for chips! I love my fruits and vegetables, but I am too in love with sweets, especially my ice cream and chocolate. Thanks to my genes, I naturally have a slim figure. Unfortunately, being thin is one thing, and having a toned body is entirely different. I canโt seem to get rid of my tummy bulge and my thick thighs, despite everything.
“I want to have this type of body,” I told The Coach, while pointing to Anne Curtis’ picture. His reply was: “Then let’s make it happen.” ย I discovered The Coach when I went to LaBoracay last summer. I heard he helped quite a number of people get the body they wanted in time for the event; I wish I knew of him before I got there, so I didnโt have to hide my stubborn belly under my loose cover-up. ย
The Coach provides a personalized fitness program that is aligned with oneโs lifestyle. Depending on your fitness goal – whether it be weight loss, mass, or toning, heโs got you covered. Before starting the program, you will have a one-on-one conversation with The Coach to level expectations and set goals. Thereafter, you will be provided a Meal Plan and a Fitness Plan, both of which will change from time to time as you progress in your program.
Week on week, he will check on you to track your progress. If need be, he will modify your exercises. To make sure that youโre doing the proper form, he will demonstrate each exercise beforehand.ย
On my first few weeks into the program, I consciously felt my body changing. My arms were getting toned, and I got cuts on my shoulders. Later on, I moved on to heavier weights. From 2 KG, I moved up to 6 kg. Admittedly, toning my tummy took longer. I voiced this out to The Coach, and he told me that it would take a while. “Be patient,” he said.
I must admit, there were days where things got really difficult. It was not the exercise routine that was hard; rather, it was the battle of will. As in any circumstance, there is some resistance that happens before change is allowed to successfully happen. I felt my entire body revolting to this transformation. I got moody. I was even stubborn at times, but The Coach stuck it out with me, knowing that struggle is part of the process.
After three months of tears and sweat, I finally got what I wanted: that โjust rightโ toned tummy. Letโs admit it: itโs direly difficult to do things alone. If it wasnโt for The Coach, I know I wouldnโt have done it.
