Tanner Patrick and Tiffany Alvord LIVE in Manila: Top 10 Moments from the YouTube Stars’ Concert
Ever since its growth in 2006, YouTube has been a great avenue to showcase talent to the world. It has even launched a lot of careers for various artists today such as PSY (whose Gangman Style video just recently hit Youtube’s maximum counter), Justin Bieber, Carly Rae Jepsen, Susan Boyle, and our very own Arnel Pineda. Aside from their great talents or intense catchiness of their songs, another main reason that fueled their rise to fame was their loyal YouTube channel subscribers and viewers who generously shared their videos in social media.
Meanwhile, during the past five years, two young American singing sensations have been slowly racking up their own subscribers and viewers on YouTube as well. These two Youtube stars’ names are Tiffany Alvord and Tanner Patrick.
For the former, Tiffany Alvord is a 22-year-old singer-songwriter from California who currently has more than 2,240,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel. Alvord has been performing live around the world for the past five years and has managed to launch her own original albums, such as “I’ve Got It Covered” and “Legacy”.
On the other hand, Tanner Patrick is a 24-year-old singer-songwriter as well from Texas. Formerly known as Tanner Howe, he changed his screen name to Tanner Patrick in 2011 due to the need of having a “fresh start”. His YouTube channel currently almost has 600,000 subscribers, thanks to his most popular video upload to date – a cover of “Pumped Up Kicks”- and other great covers and originals.

10. When guest front act, Fiona, performed “Thinking of You“by Katy Perry
Indie/alternative pop rock band Fiona amped up the energy of the audience with their outstanding cover of “Thinking Of You” by Katy Perry. Composed of members Mikki Jill (vocals), Otep Guerrero (guitars), Aaron Lara (guitars/vocals), Mark Rodriguez (bass), and Randy Gomez (drums), Fiona truly captured our hearts, especially with the vocalist’s passionate singing. Aside from “Thinking Of You”, they also performed covers of Up Dharma Down’s “Tadhana” and “Oo“.

9. When Tiffany Alvord finally appeared and sang “Rude” by Magic!
YES! Hermione, I mean, Tiffany Alvord has finally arrived! The crowd went really wild as the doll-like YouTube star came out onstage. I asked my companion, Keith, which particular song was the highlight of her entire set, and she said it was probably her performance of “Rude” by Magic! Well, it was really a feel-good moment as everyone was familiar with the song. Her mellowed-down ‘girl version’ of “Rude” (check it out at the last part of this article) is a nice response to the male version hahaha
The other songs that the fans sang along with were Tiffany Alvord’s originals such as “I Knew You Were The One”, “Authenticity”, and “I Hate To Tell You”.

8. When Tiffany Alvord sang “All About That Bass” with her brother. AWWWWWWW
She introduced Tevin and Tyler, her two brothers, to the crowd before performing “All About That Bass“. Tevin is the brother whom she made a cover of “All About That Bass” with, while Tyler served as the pianist during the live performance. That Youtube video has more than 3,000,000 (!!!!!!) to date, and we we were lucky enough to hear it performed live! The moment she wore that signature wide pink glasses she wore in the video, we all knew they were just about to perform the cover for us.

What a fun moment that was! (Plus the fact that she may be uploading it somewhere soon means #ExposureTime hahaha)
