A new study has revealed that “Diary ng Panget 4” is the top-rated book in the Philippines! This is according to WordFinderX, which identified each country’s top-rated book by a local author. Their research is based on these books’ average ratings on Goodreads, and only books with at least 500 ratings were included.

With almost five thousand ratings on the online book database, the best-selling novel by Denny R. (HaveYouSeenThisGirL) reportedly garnered a total average of 4.53 stars. It is also the ninth highest in the rest of Asia and Oceania. Read more about the study here.

“Diary ng Panget” was first posted on Wattpad. Then, the story was published by Viva-PSICOM Publishing Corp. and split into four books. Aside from being the top-rated book in the Philippines by a local author on Goodreads, it has also made its way to the list of bestselling Philippine publications in major bookstores.

In 2014, its film adaptation starring Nadine Lustre, James Reid, Yassi Pressman, and Andre Paras was released–the very first Wattpad movie adaptation. The “Diary ng Panget” movie jumpstarted Nadine and James’ acting careers as well.
