Veteran actor Lee Jung-jae, who stars in the new Korean Netflix drama taking the world by storm “Squid Game,” just joined Instagram for the first time ever.
Lee Jung-jae is among the actors who are experiencing worldwide attention following his role as gambler Seong Gi-hun (a.k.a. Player #456) in the hit survival drama. As such, it’s no wonder that he opened a new social media account just for fans to stay up-to-date with the goings-on in his personal and career life.
On October 2, Saturday, he announced his arrival on Instagram with a happy selfie.
“Is this… how you do it…? #Lee Jung Jae #Squid Game,” he wrote on the caption.

Fans instantly swarmed the comments section of his post and, within just a day, Lee Jung-Jae’s follower count hit the 1 million mark. As of writing, he now has four Instagram posts—one of which featured behind-the-scenes footage from “Squid Game”—and at least 1.6 million followers. He currently doesn’t follow anyone else.
“Squid Game” is a Netflix original series that follows 456 debt-ridden citizens who participate in a deadly program wherein they stand a chance to win billions of money just by winning and surviving each round of games. Since its premiere in September, “Squid Game” has become the number 1 show on Netflix worldwide.
