The four-time MVP and one of the best basketball players of the Philippines, Ramon Fernandez was offered the position of Philippine Sports Commission, Philippine Star reported.
According to the news report, the 62-year-old Fernandez will instill his “Change the Game” theme to help redirect the goals and directions of Philippine sports. Moreover, he guaranteed that more sports facilities in the provinces will be built under his watch.
In addition, he told the Philippine Star that “accepting the job is his own way to give back to the sports” that brought him in.
The appointment came from Duterte’s special assistant; Christopher “Bong” Go through a phone call last Wednesday afternoon.

Fernandez is one of the greatest player to have ever played in the Philippine Basketball Association. In line with his biography, he had earned 19 PBA championships. He’s known to be the key star player of the following teams back in the day:
