And then, we released some LED balloons into the sky, which were unbelievably mesmerising.
After that, it was time for the lanterns – the piece de resistance of the event. I have to admit: it isn’t easy to light those lanterns up. However, with enough patience and determination, you will be able to light yours and release it into the sky along with any wish you might have. Truth be told, 2016 has been full of blessings for me, so I had no idea what to wish for. Instead, I just thanked God for all of the wonderful things that have been coming into my life this year. I honestly couldn’t ask for more.
I have to say that no amount of photos or videos will be able to describe how beautiful the lanterns looked when they were released into the sky. It brought out so many emotions and feelings, and if you are a fan of “Tangled” and/or “On The Wings of Love (OTWOL)” like I am, then you will enjoy it all the more.
On the second day, I got a fever and therefore wasn’t able to join the Pagudpud part of the tour. However, I still got to enjoy Vigan and all of its beauty on our last day before heading back to Manila.
All in all, I enjoyed my weekend immensely – fever and all – and I would highly recommend you join next year’s lantern festival. There simply isn’t anything else like it. Pure LOVE.
