MOAs, you won’t be seeing Soobin in TXT’s upcoming activities for now.

BIGHIT Music announced on November 19 that Soobin will be taking a temporary hiatus to focus on his health.
“Soobin recently exhibited signs of being unwell and visited the hospital for medical attention. The medical staff have advised that he would need sufficient time to rest and recover,” the statement read.
The agency emphasized that while Soobin wanted to continue with the scheduled activities, the medical staff advised him to rest.
“We have prioritized Soobin’s recovery and have had discussions regarding future activities with all members. Soobin himself is determined to continue with his activities, however, we felt that it would be better for him to focus on improving his health for the time being as recommended by the medical staff.”
Soobin will be unable to participate in the MAMA Awards, Japan offline fan events, ACT: PROMISE Encore in Japan, the Shanghai fan signing event, and other end-of-year activities.
“We would like to apologize to our fans and ask for your generous understanding,” BIGHIT Music added. “Soobin plans to take necessary rest and maintain his daily life to return to fans in his healthiest self again. The company will do our very best to support Soobin for him to recover and meet fans in good health.”
Following his temporary hiatus announcement, Soobin penned a handwritten letter for MOAs on Weverse. Read his heartfelt letter below, as translated by Soompi:
“First, it was only a few days ago that we wrapped up our [comeback] promotions amidst warm support, so I’m sorry to our MOA who must have been very surprised at this sudden news.
After my debut, thanks to the TXT members and MOA, I’ve been growing little by little every single year. As countless happy moments built up, I think I was reborn as a slightly cooler person.
There were moments when I felt strongly that I wasn’t in the best physical condition, but thanks to the other members and MOA, I was able to solidly push through. Thank you!
After giving it deep thought, I thought that in order to be with all of you for a long time, I needed time to reorganize myself.
My heart feels heavy because I worry that this decision will harm everyone around me, but I spoke a lot with Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Kai. I’m very sorry and grateful to the members, who supported my decision.
MOA’s happiness is always my top priority.
Although my heart feels heavy because I worry that this news might sadden MOA, who always give me only love and joy, I will recover quickly so that you don’t have to wait long, and I will return in good health!
MOA, I love you always.”
MOAs and his fellow TXT members Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Hueningkai also expressed love and support to him.
