South Korean stars Song Hye Kyo and Lim Ji Yeon bagged awards at the 2nd Blue Dragon Series Awards for their outstanding performances in the hit K-drama series The Glory.

Hye Kyo, who portrayed the lead role as Moon Dong Eun, won the Daesang or grand prize. She is the first-ever Daesang award recipient at the recent awards show.
On Instagram, she shared photos of herself and expressed her gratitude. This is her third time to win the Daesang. In 2013, she bagged the Daesang award for That Winter, The Wind Blows at the APAN Star Awards and in 2016 for Descendants of the Sun at the KBS Drama Awards.

Meanwhile, Ji Yeon, who played the villain role of Park Yeon Jin, was awarded Best Supporting Actress. She also starred in several K-drama series, Obsessed, High Society, Welcome 2 Life, and Spiritwalker. In April 2023, she also won the Best Supporting Actress award at the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards.
She also took to Instagram to thank her supporters. In the replies, her co-star Hye Kyo congratulated her.

Other winners at the 2nd Blue Dragon Series Awards were Bae Suzy as Best Actress for Anna, Ha Jung Woo as Best Actor for Narco-Saints, Lee Dong Hwi as Best Supporting Actor for Big Bet, Park Ji Hoon as Best Rookie Actor for Weak Hero Class 1, and Shin Ye Eun as Best Rookie Actress for Revenge of Others.
The crime action drama series Big Bet received the Best Drama Award.
The 2nd Blue Dragon Series Awards was held on July 19 at Incheon’s Paradise City. It is an annual awards ceremony that honors excellence in drama series and variety shows produced in streaming services offered in South Korea, including Netflix, Disney+, seezn, and Apple TV+.
