Sofitel Manila: the One Stop Luxury and Leisure Resort Hotel in Manila
Traveling and experiencing new things each weekend has been an absolute source of joy for me over the years. And yes, once you’ve been afflicted by this “bug,” it’s really impossible to stop as you will always yearn for more off what is out there to discover.
And so for this week, both fate and feet brought me to one of Manila’s sought after hotels – Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila.
I have always been curious on why so many people rave about Sofitel Manila and this weekend, I was fortunate enough to finally have the time to experience it myself along with my friend Josephine.
First Impressions:
I was surprised to witness so many people at the front office awaiting check-in. Sofitel Manila is indeed a destination itself and one of the busiest hotels around the metro. Good thing, one of their helpful ushers assisted us to the express check-in at Club Millesime floor.
You can never go wrong with Filipino hoteliers as you will always be guaranteed with warm friendly service. We had a quick and stress-free express check-in and even served with welcome drinks. I couldn’t wait to see our room!
The Suites at Club Millesime floor:
Our suite’s ambiance was quite refreshing to the senses as compared with other hotels which tend to look quite formal and traditional. This one felt very casual and homey, yet elegant. Here’s a quick tour:

This basket filled with goodies was certainly a nice touch!
For someone who has experienced luxury stays before, I must say that I was impressed with the luxury brands which were provided from the toiletries down to the brand of tea in their coffee/tea making facility.
After a quick siesta, I invited my friend Josephine to have snacks at the club lounge. I always look forward in “chillin’” at the VIP club lounge whenever I stay in hotels due to its laid back and intimate atmosphere. Afternoon cocktails are the best!

A City within a Hotel …
Staying at Sofitel Manila can be overwhelming with the countless things you can do. During my stay here at Sofitel Manila, I didn’t even thought about going out as EVERYTHING I needed was already there!
Need to withdraw? No worries!
Looking for flowers to give to your girl? They got a flower shop as well!
They also have their very own indoor kiddie place where your little ones can play and have fun!
For health buffs, it’s an absolute must to experience their gym equipped with the latest fitness facilities! Checked-in guests and club members can even join their daily yoga and Pilates sessions!
I was surprised to discover that Sofitel Manila also has an aesthetic clinic called Vietrua Aesthetic Lifestyle.
They happily gave us a consultation about health and beauty. I really learned a lot from that session as I’ve been seriously thinking of managing my weight….
That afternoon, we tried their Lipo Cryo treatment. It’s a non-invasive, non-surgical fat reduction procedure by freezing or cooling to eliminate fat cells. Since it was my first time, I felt uncomfortable because it felt like I was being pinched a hundred times while my belly fat was being frozen! lols Good thing, the nurse was really nice and did her best to make me feel comfy and relaxed. It was the longest 15 minutes of my life, but it was all worth it since my belly did get smaller after only 1 session!
After our session at Vietura, we decided to have a buffet dinner at the Sunset Bar. But before that, we just had to catch the sunset by the bay…. it was really lovely!
The Sunset Bar dinner buffet as equally packed like the famous Spiral. This primarily caters to guests who wish to enjoy dinner al fresco style!
There was even a dance group performing folk dances that night!
After dinner, we then stayed at one of their “kisses” by the bay. It’s one of the best spots in the hotel!
