The band’s excellence continues to resonate in their latest album, Empire Central, earning them another Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album. Released in 2022, it was the band’s love letter to Texas, blending the sound of their roots with their unique grooves that captivated audiences worldwide.
“Snarky Puppy has always been a band that prioritizes the sound of music,” says bandleader and bassist Michael League. Reflecting on the band’s one-of-a-kind style, League shared, “We focused more on communicating a clear message, understandable to a listener without dumbing things down.” This is the heart of their We Like It Here album, which has remained a fan favorite for its dynamic approach and intricate textures.
The band recently released its 10th Anniversary Deluxe Edition, celebrating their remarkable journey over the past decade by reigniting the excitement for one of their most iconic works.
