Sharon Cuneta talked about her health condition through an Instagram post, revealing she underwent nasal endoscopy due to a presumed infection, which resulted in clogged nasal passages and a swollen throat.
Nasal endoscopy is a procedure that looks at the nasal and sinus passages using an endoscope, a thin tube with a tiny camera and a light.

“Sobrang clogged daw ang ilong ko and my throat is so swollen and papunta nang infection kaya ang dami kong gamot ngayon. Nasanay na lang daw ako sa feeling ng barado ang ilong at masama ang lagay ng throat kaya di ko na narerealize pag ganon,” she wrote.
The Megastar recalled that even before her guesting at the noontime variety show E.A.T (formerly Eat Bulaga!), her throat is already in bad condition.

“Kaya pala wala akong boses sa e.a.t. nung nirequest doon na kantahin ko bigla ang part ng “Bituing Walang Ningning…” Dapat pala hiningi ko magbalot ng boses!” [sic] she expressed.

Cuneta said her doctor advised her to rest her voice for one week, as her condition may have been worsened due to stress.
“Kaya isang malaking “tenk yu” sa mga nagbibigay sa akin ng stress pinasaDios ko na kayo! May acid reflux pa ako susmaryosep,” [sic] she continued.
The 57-year-old concluded her post by expressing that she missed the set of her upcoming film A Mother and Son’s Story as well as her co-stars Alden Richards and Jackie Lou Blanco and the film’s director Nuel Naval.
