This uplifting story I found in Facebook, between a security guard and an abused worker, will definitely change your perception in life.
He is Oscar Bench Ebio, the confidently kind-hearted security guard of Calamba, Laguna. Oscar shared an amazing story on how he and other Good Samaritans ย helped Jeroel Magdasal Turan go back to his hometown.

According to Oscar, the 48-year old abused worker ran away from his employer in Balayan, Batangas, after not receiving his salary for months.
Determined to help Turan, Ebio took advantage of the social media by posting and sharing several videos asking for nice people online to help Turan go back to his hometown.
Thankfully, his kindness has been answered. A lot of genuine people offered monetary support for Turan’s ticket backย to his hometown in Guihulngan City, Negros Oriental.
As luck would have it, Turan safely arrived and was picked upย at the airport by Mikoy Reyes, the brother of Guihulngan City Mayor.
Below is touching caption to the photo:

Rough translation:
Mission accomplished. Thanks God. Thank you and he arrived safely in Guinhulngan Negros Oriental. Once again, thank you to all who helped him, thank you to the brother of Mayor, Mikoy Reyes. Thank you for picking him up and thank you to Mayor Gido Reyes. And Thanks to all the Good samaritans who helped. God Bless You.
Undoubtedly, social media is extremely powerful.ย From trending topics and funny memes spreading like wildfire, we can definitely utilize it in helping people in need like what Ebio did.
Indeed, security guards duties are not only to secure the premises but also to bring joy and hope to those people who are in need. Mabuhay ka, Oscar!
Good job, Kuya! God Bless you, too!
