Sarah Geronimo represented the Philippines once again in the ASEAN-Japan Music Festival. The event was streamed yesterday through the music festival’s YouTube channel. Aside from the singer, artists from Japan, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam also gave a wonderful performance.

The pop star princess is grateful and honored to represent our country in this international event for the second time. She spoke about the power of music in touching people’s lives. “Music is a universal language that speaks to our soul through every stage of life. Music is very powerful. It can heal a wounded heart, uplift one’s spirit, and bring renewed hope,” she said. Geronimo hopes that their music and performances can be a source of inspiration for everyone.

For the second half of the festival, the Kapamilya star talked about how the pandemic has affected everyone around the world and how it made us experience different kinds of loss. In lieu of this, she called for peace and unity by showing empathy and care for one another. She said, “Let go of resentment. Choose peace and freedom over hate and imprisonment. Let love and kindness rule our hearts every day. Life is a gift that we should be grateful for.”
