Sang Young Park, the award-winning South Korean author of the novel Love in the Big City, will visit Manila for a talk and book signing.
The talk and signing will be on September 15, 2024, at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City as part of the Manila International Book Fair (MIBF).
Love in the Big City is regarded as a brilliant exploration of millennial loneliness and queer life. The novel was longlisted for the International Booker Prize in 2022. A film adaptation starring No-Sang Hyun and Go-eun Kim will premiere this October.
Park’s talk and signing are organized by National Book Store and the Korean Cultural Center.
Other bestselling authors coming to the National Book Store booth include award-winning poet and novelist Jose Dalisay (Soledad’s Sister), acclaimed historian Ambeth Ocampo (Looking Back series), and journalist and writer A.A. Patawaran (Manila Was A Long Time Ago).
