His announcement shocked many listeners of the popular radio talk show Boys Night Out, which he co-hosts alongside Tony Toni and Slick Rick, with Gino Quillamor, Jojo the Love Survivor, and Tin Gamboa (also known as DJ Suzy).

In a separate Instagram post, Sam clarified his decision to resign from the radio station and program, โ€œJust to be clear.. Walang nag-away. Walang magkagalit.โ€

He added, โ€œI believe Iโ€™ve given my all these past 17 years and I will forever be grateful for all the lessons Iโ€™ve learned and the lives Iโ€™ve touched.โ€

The radio and TV personality emphasized that Boys Night Out will continue โ€œas usual,โ€ and believed that the show will be in โ€œgreat handsโ€ with his co-hosts.

He also clarified that heโ€™s not leaving the country, โ€œIโ€™m not leaving the country and Iโ€™ll still be hosting corporate/TV shows, events, weddings, and everything in between. PS: Wag lang childrenโ€™s parties.โ€

Without disclosing his upcoming plans, Sam mentioned that it pains him to leave Boys Night Out, but heโ€™s excited about โ€œwhatโ€™s ahead.โ€ He revealed that heโ€™ll stay until November this year, and jokingly denied joining Vivamax.

โ€œGrowth is often uncomfortable, messy, and full of feelings you werenโ€™t expecting. But itโ€™s necessary,โ€ he concluded.

Meanwhile, Tin and Slick Rick sent their well wishes to Sam through social media posts.

โ€œHeโ€™ll be on til November but Iโ€™ll save that post til that day comes. But for now, letโ€™s just sit back and enjoy the time we got left on air. That doesnโ€™t mean youโ€™ll never see us as a group again, maybe youโ€™ll catch us hosting as a group, doing things online and much much more!โ€ Slick Rick wrote.
