Bianca del Rio, the winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race during its sixth season, is returning to Manila for her world comedy tour, Dead Inside.

The show will be on January 17, 2025, at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City.

Dead Inside will be del Rio’s third visit to Manila, following It’s Jester Joke in 2019 and Bianca Del Rio: UNSANITIZED in 2022.

The queen shared her experience during her last visit to the Philippines in an interview with the press.

“I just love the passion! I love that I, as an American, can go over there, and there’s an audience interested to hear what I have to say. It’s pretty amazing,” she said.

Del Rio added, “It’s just amazing energy I get when I’m there. I did a press conference a couple of years ago, and it was wild. They actually made me feel like I was important. It was wild. I had just flown in, was quite jet-lagged, and walked into that room. This is insane. It was intense. I still talk about it.”

The queen is referring to a press conference that WheninManila.com attended in 2019.

When asked what she thinks of Filipino audiences, del Rio shared, “I find them amazing. I can’t say it enough. I think what’s been amazing is that somehow, in comedy, we can all find common ground to laugh.”

According to del Rio, a special part of the evening is the meet-and-greet before the show. She said, “I get to actually chat with a group of people and feel the energy and find out what’s going on locally and who they’re mad at, who they’re happy with, who they’re in a relationship with. I get all the gossip then. I find that to be usually the most fun that I have prior to the show.”

For Dead Inside, the queen revealed that audiences should expect the unexpected.

“When I started this tour in January of 2024, we were dealing with different topics and things. So much has happened in the world, so everything gets shifted and shifting. I often say, if anything exciting happens in the world, I promise you there will be jokes about it,” she said.

Filipino fans should look out for the show, as the queen tailors each set to the location.

Del Rio said, “You have to adapt a few things to the audiences, whether it’s mentioning some local celebrity, something that might happen in that particular town, or discussing that particular town that you might have been in. Usually, just on my day of traveling to the venue, something happens that I can use later in the show.”

Why is the show called Dead Inside?

“Have you visually seen me? I’m dead on the outside, so I’m addressing the dead inside. I think it’s just where I am in life. Nothing fazes me at this point. Truthfully, I am continuously dead inside but somehow still functioning, so none of it can affect me on any level. I try to find my way through all the madness.”
