After months of being rumored to be an item, has Ruffa Gutierrez finally admitted to being in a romantic relationship with Herbert Bautista?
It can be recalled that Ruffa had opened up on the issue during a guesting on “Magandang Buhay” in early February 2022 wherein she clarified that their relationship was platonic and that they were not considering taking it to the next level at the moment.
“To answer your question, walang ganap. Kasi kung saan-saan umiikot,” Ruffa had said at the time. “I think ang masasabi ko now, platonic siya. Para siyang mentor ko. … Parang mentor lang ang peg. Ako ‘yung estudyante slash experiment.”
“I think at this point, wala pa kami doon. It’s more of like he’s busy achieving his goals, I’m busy achieving mine and one day, kung matutugma ‘yun, why not?” she added.
However, fans seemed convinced that a romance has truly blossomed when Ruffa took to her Instagram on Tuesday, March 15, to share a video of Herbert campaigning as an aspiring senator in the coming elections. In the caption, she notably wrote, “#8 sa balota, #1 sa puso ko! (Number 8 in the ballots, number 1 in my heart!)”

The video also included a selfie of her and Herbert.
Ruffa and Herbert were costars in the television series “The House Arrest of Us,” which aired in October 2020, as the parents of Kathryn Bernardo’s character. Since then, they have been teased by fellow cast members of their growing closeness. What further fueled the rumors that they were dating was when fans spotted Herbert spending time with Ruffa’s family during Christmas last year.
