When you think of Greek cuisine, Cyma will always be the top-of-mind answer. This longstanding restaurant serves a vast menu of dips, gyros, meat and seafood dishes for sharing, and my personal favorite, their souvlaki—juicy and tender skewered meat and grilled vegetables served with a side of garlic yogurt and homemade pita.

Mazza

Mazza joins this list for its generous servings at reasonable prices, and for its no-frills-no-fuss kebab plate that’s meaty, juicy, and grilled just right, served next to a cup of buttered rice and chopped veggies. For a quick and casual meal enjoyed with a gorgeous Middle Eastern atmosphere, Mazza is the place to be!

The best-kept secret in Quezon City, The Melting Potluck is beloved by locals for its “sarap sulit” offerings and the fun vibe you get while dining in. Loyal fans argue that this is where you can find the best-tasting shawarma, but you shouldn’t miss out on its other dishes too, including their beef or chicken kebab that are flavored with plenty of spices from Jordan and Palestine!

Persia Grill

Established by an Iranian-Filipino family, Persia Grill lets you indulge in the rich flavors of Mediterranean cuisine not just in its branches in Makati and BGC but also at your own home. They also stand out for being one, if not the only, restaurant that serves plant-based kebabs, created in collaboration with Beyond Meat. Delicious flavors without the guilt!

Uncle Moe’s

People flock to Uncle Moe’s for their shawarma but I’m a huge fan of their kebab platter. At budget-friendly prices, Uncle Moe’s kebabs satisfy my craving for grilled ground beef wherever I may be!

Ababu

Ababu is another restaurant that has become the go-to for university students for serving reasonably-priced Persian dishes close to campus grounds. Don’t skip their beef, chicken, or chelo kebabs!

Behrouz

Behrouz prides itself on serving authentic Persian food where the kebabs, hummus dips, biryani rice, and more are so mouthwateringly good! They have plenty of branches within and outside of the metro and they accommodate online orders too!

Abdul

Located near Timog Avenue in Quezon City, ABDUL is all about serving delicious kebab meals that will fill you up! They make their ground beef with premium ingredients and their own special spice blend, setting them apart with flavors you won’t taste anywhere else.

Hossein’s

With gorgeous interiors that make you feel that you were transported somewhere across the world. Hossein’s has made its mark on Filipino foodies for being one of Metro Manila’s oldest and most recognizable Persian restaurants. From its humble beginnings serving kebab to now offering a vast menu of Mediterranean specialties, Hossein’s truly is a place to indulge in hearty and comforting dishes with family and friends.

Swaadisht

For flavor-packed Indian food, Swaadisht is the place to be. Located in Eastwood and Westgate Center Alabang, this cozy restaurant only makes use of the highest quality ingredients and authentic Indian spices. Don’t be intimidated by their menu—whatever you choose, you’re sure to have a gastronomic experience!

Shah Kebab

Nestled in Abad Santos in San Juan, Shah Kebab has been making kebab platters since 2020 using natural, authentic ingredients. While it’s great to enjoy at the restaurant, you can get the same experience at home when ordering from their online shop. They’ve got rice meals for one as well as platters for groups!

Kas & Poly

Kas & Poly is an astrology-themed restaurant in BGC where their dishes are thoughtfully conceptualized to match each Zodiac sign, planet, and constellation. Their Aquarius Chelo Kebab shouldn’t be missed whether or not you have an Aquarian eating with you. The meat is so soft and flavorful and pairs well with the yogurt dressing, as well as the bed of rice the two kebabs sit on!
