Have you ever watched a funny video on Facebook and in the end it says that it’s been directed by Robert B. Weide? Well, the real Robert B. Weide has come out on a Facebook post to let all of us know that he didn’t direct all of those funny videos that have been circulating on the internet.
On the post, he says: “Despite my pinned post explaining that I am NOT the one behind those “Directed by Robert B. Weide” video memes, I’ve got about 23,000 FB followers who still haven’t figured it out. Oh, well. I don’t suppose this photo is going to help matters. (RBW)”
He tops it off by posting a photo of himself wearing a “Directed by Robert B. Weide” shirt.
The real Robert B. Weide is a three-time Emmy Award winner who, aside from being an unofficial meme director, is well known for his documentaries as well as for being the director and executive producer the American comedy series Curb Your Enthusiasm.
