Itโs been almost 15 years since Pepsiโs last rebrand; now, itโs time for a fresh style that will inspire all generations to live boldly and authentically without fear of breaking the boundaries.
On October 8, Sunday, Pepsi officially launched its fresh look to loyal fans at their Pepsi Pulse 2023 event at the MOA Concert Grounds, which was jampacked with games, great food from partner merchants, immersive activities, and electrifying music performances featuring special guests and brand ambassadors Mimiyuuuh, Ace Banzuelo, Mayonnaise, and SB19. Hosted by TikTok content creators Jaz Reyes and Tito Mikee Reyes, Pepsi Pulse 2023 truly proved what it means to be your real self and to take pride in your uniqueness.

โOur new tagline, Mas Masarap Maiba, is all about celebrating that attitude of breaking free from the conventions holding you back so you can enjoy the moment more,โ said Marketing Director for PepsiCo Philippines Beverages Ray Philip Pine.
โ[We Filipinos are] constantly changing, we’re constantly evolving. But at the same time, I think one of the things that makes Filipinos really an inspiration and admired is we are our most authentic selves. That’s really seen here today [at Pepsi Pulse 2023]. I don’t think we’re celebrating anything that is not already a Filipino trait or a Filipino attitude. We’re just amplifying it and encouraging more Filipino consumers to embrace it,โ added Steve Romanasanta, Senior Director for Brand Marketing Asia.
Hereโs everything you need to know about Pepsiโs big and bold rebrand:
1. The Logo
According to Senior Director for Brand Marketing Asia Steve Romanasanta, the time was right for a logo change, almost 15 years since the last one. This new logo takes inspiration from Pepsiโs logos in the past but with a more modern look to make it more relatable to a new generation of consumers.
The custom typeface is also fresh and in all caps to signify being loud and bold, and this time placed in the middle of the circle and on the white wave.
2. The Colors
Another distinct difference is that the blue color on the logo has been updated to a more electric hue. Pepsi incorporated the color black in its palette as well not just on the typeface but also outlining the circle logo to make it stand out.
3. The Pulse
What truly sets this new look apart is the unique blue and black “pulse” emanating from the logo, evoking a “ripple, pop and fizz” effect that symbolizes the vibrant spirit and energy that Pepsi aims to bring out in its customers. Its refreshed visual identity introduces elements that resonate with the youth, embodying the essence of the global Gen Z community. It’s a pulse that beats in sync with the rhythm of Filipino culture and the drive to stand out!
4. The Tagline
Launched together with the new logo is Pepsiโs latest tagline, โMas Masarap Maiba.โ This tagline is all about celebrating that authenticity and unapologetic self-expression, encapsulating what it means to be different, follow oneโs โpulseโ, and keep creating unforgettable moments that make you live loudly and free!
โThis is a new era of Pepsi. We are hoping over the next several years, we will be able to inspire and encourage young Filipinos to not let anything hold them back. We are very resilient people; [Pepsiโs message is to] not let anything hold us back and really have a great time with thrilling experiences,โ shared Nitin Bhandari, General Manager PepsiCo Philippines, Malaysia, and Singapore.
