For all the urban adventurers out there, listen up: Pathumwananurak Park in Bangkok is finally open to the public.
After a rollercoaster ride of delays and tensions, that long-awaited park right by Central World finally opened its gates in August.
A new park in a central location
Picture this: right in the heart of the city lies this 64,000 square meters wide oasis of greenery. It is near landmarks such as Central World, Siam Complex, Novotel Bangkok Platinum Pratunam, Platinum Mall, and more.
It features a compact amphitheater, an exhibition hub, and an elevated walkway that links up to the bustling Ratchaprasong intersectionโvery convenient!
The inspiration behind all the design is the Thai numeral “9,” a tribute to the late King Rama IX as the park sprouted shortly after his reign.
If you’re planning to bask in this oasis, the park is open every day 10AM-6PM. Time to soak up some Vitamin D!
