The Palms Country Club of Alabang, in partnership with its developer Filinvest group, has decided to offer itself as a temporary home to health workers, nurses and doctors from the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM).
They hope to alleviate the burden to frontliners by giving shelter during the enhanced community quarantine period.

“The board of the Palms Country Club and its members have responded to the need of our selfless frontliners. This is to ensure that they have a place to stay that is accessible to RITM,” said Francis Gotianun, president of Palms Country Club. “The club will provide the accommodation while Filinvest has pledged to shoulder the utilities including power and water consumption charges that The Palms will incur for the duration of the front liners’ stay at the facility.”
The Palms Country Club advisory assures members that “a thorough and deep-cleaning of the facilities and sufficient quarantine period” will be observed before reopening the club to the public.
