The previous content of CNN Philippines will soon be accessible on the latest digital news channel, NewsWatch Plus.
The news was announced through their official statement on X, revealing that the newly launched channel is the predecessor of CNN Philippines.

“NewsWatch Plus is your new digital news organization that echoes the commitment of its predecessor, CNN Philippines, to deliver compelling news and insightful narratives—now in the more vibrant and engaging digital space,” it read.
NewsWatch Plus emphasized that Nine Media Corporation (NMC), former operator of CNN Philippines, has given them rights to archive all the content of CNN Philippines, including articles and videos, across their social media platforms and soon-to-be-launched website.
“NewsWatch Plus followers will have access to old articles and videos in a section of our soon-to-be-launched website <newswatchplus.ph>,” the statement added.

It will reportedly be comprised mostly of former anchors and personnel of CNN Philippines. NewsWatch Plus is the revival of NewsWatch, a television newscast by the long-defunct Radio Philippines Network (RPN), which will now serve as a digital news and lifestyle channel with online and TV presence.
In January, CNN Philippines ceased operations following “serious financial losses.” Its website and social media accounts have been taken down since then.
