Blue’s Clues and You host Josh is going back to his Filipino roots!
It was back in February when Pinoys got excited over the news that the rebooted children’s series will be introducing audiences to Josh’s Filipino grandmother in an episode during its second season. But it seems that isn’t the only thing to look forward to.
According to an official press release from Nickelodeon, the episode, titled “Blue’s Big Baking Show,” will also be introducing to kids all around the world a much-loved local delicacy: the bibingka!
The episode will follow Josh and Blue seeking help from his lola (grandmother) to create the Filipino rice cake from scratch. Check out the photo below!
Yum! It looks so good! And we love that Lola is also wearing a blue striped scarf!
The episode will premiere on November 20, 11 AM ET (November 21, 12 AM Manila time).

Josh’s lola will be played by Carolyn Fe, who is a veteran actress with her own theatre production company and is best known for her singing career. She specializes in the genre of jazz and rhythm & blues while also having been a professional dancer. As a dancer, she choreographed for her own professional dance company and owned and operated a dance school offering classical ballet, tap, jazz, and aerobics.
Most recently Fe appeared in a Toronto production of “Hilot Means Healer” by Jo SiMalaya Alcampo. In 2019, she released a blues album titled “Sugat Ko.”
