During a guesting on ‘Tonight with Boy Abunda’, James Reid shared that Nadine Lustre loves corgis. Though James is a self-confessed cat person, he is the one who actually suggested to get a corgi.
“Last last week, nagkaroon ako ng shoot na merong corgi. ‘Yung photographer may dala siyang corgi. Vinideohan ko ‘yung corgi tapos sinend ko kay James. Tapos sabi niya, bakit di na lang tayo kumuha ng corgi,” Nadine told Lazada Philippines. [“Last last week, I had a shoot with a corgi. The photographer brought a corgi along. I took a video of the corgi and sent it to James. Then he suggested, why don’t we just get a corgi?”]
Nadine was super excited about the thought of having one, but she didn’t want to push James since he’s not a big fan of dogs.
“Sobrang na-swisweetan ako. Siya ‘yung nagtuturo. Parang baby kasi siya. And ‘yung ganung klase ng dedication, na parang hindi siya ganun before, but now ginagawa niya na, doon ako na-swisweetan,” she added. [“I thought it was so sweet. He’s the trainer. Coz he’s like a baby. And that kind of dedication that I haven’t seen before… seeing it now made it so sweet.”]
She shared that James is very hands-on with their new pup, training it and really looking after it.
They named their corgi Calcifer Pendragon or Cal for short.
