We ended up not actually going inside Sky Ranch, we just took a few photos of the area and then picked a restaurant there to eat breakfast at. I enjoyed seeing the beautiful horses. You can watch them from the entrance without going in.
ย
Obviously, the people here have a sense of humor!
ย
There were several restaurants at Sky Ranch to choose from, everything from Krispy Kreme to KFC, but we decided to eat at Red Engine as it was a place we’d never tried before.ย
ย
ย I know, I know. Burgers for breakfast? We have no shame.
My bacon and cream cheese burger
ย
As a huge lover of cream cheese, I ordered the bacon and cream cheese burger. It was extremely yummy. I was very pleased to see that they did not skimp on the cream cheese, there was a big thick slab of it in there. I also asked for jalapenos on the side which I then applied liberally to my burger as the flavor of the tangy jalapenos went just perfectly with the bacon and cream cheese.

David’s Red Engine Burger
ย
David went for the Red Engine burger. It had nearly everything on it, including cream cheese, and he was able to ask them to add on some bacon for a truly complete burger. Both of our burgers were very much enjoyed and devoured quickly. Oh, and no, that’s not photoshop. The buns really are pink for some reason!

Finally, for the last stretch of our vacation day before heading home, we decided to go for a drive down Taal Lake Road. It was a long, winding road and somewhat dangerous, but the view was breathtaking.
ย
ย
The signs did not lie. There were warning signs for landslides frequently along the road. And as many signs as we saw, we saw just as many landslides. It made the drive extra scary – we were forced to drive in the oncoming traffic’s lane, and there were a lot of blind corners where we couldn’t see if someone was coming our way. Fortunately, we made it safely and drove about 3/4ths of the way down the road, where we took some beautiful landscape photos.
ย
Everything was so lush and green
ย
It was a wonderful adventure and a perfect solution to what would have been an otherwise boring weekend. Tagaytay City, thank you for the amazing views, delicious food, and relaxation time! I promise we will return!
