This famously on-again-off-again couple are officially off-again after 8 months of marriage and fans are understandably upset. After following the relationship of Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth through the years many believed they had finally reached a happy conclusion. But, as the couple’s statement explains: people and relationships evolve.
This same sentiment is echoed in Miley’s first Instagram post following the announcement. The photo has her posing in front of mountains and is accompanied with a caption further talking about evolution. She writes: “Don’t fight evolution, because you will never win. Like the mountain I am standing on top of, which was once under water, connected with Africa, change is inevitable.”

Seemingly referencing the personal changes in her life and love, she continues to talk about trusting in time and the process: “The Dolomites were not created over night, it was over millions of years that this magnificent beauty was formed. My dad always told me “Nature never hurries but it is always on time”…. It fills my heart with peace and hope KNOWING that is true. I was taught to respect the planet and its process and I am committed to doing the same with my own ….”
If indeed about her separation from Liam, it is a wonderfully mature perspective on their relationship and how their lives will branch from here on out. Hopefully people will be able to peacefully accept these changes as Miley has seemed to.
