We have just been blessed by a new meme template this week, and it’s all thanks to Karen Davila and Lyca Gairanod.
The two ladies went viral on Monday, August 16, when Filipino netizens couldn’t stop laughing at an uploaded clip that showed Karen reacting excitedly to Lyca who, in return, stared back at her with a rather confused expression.

Apparently, Karen had asked the young singer when her birthday was. Lyca replied that it was on November 21 — the same day as Karen.
“Oh my God! Birthday ko iyon! Birthday mo November 21? Hindi ko alam ‘yun ah, wait hindi ko alam ‘yun. Magka-birthday kami!” Karen exclaimed.
The TV presenter’s shock caught Lyca off-guard and her stunned look was completely caught on camera. And thus, this gem of a screenshot was born:
