Now that the much-awaited “Mars Ravelo’s Darna: The TV Series” has found its director, ABS-CBN has finally revealed the full cast joining the adaptation!
On Tuesday, October 5, ABS-CBN Network went live to introduce all the actors who will be taking on roles for the television show such as Narda’s mother, her leading man, and her brother Ding.
Portraying Narda’s mother and the original protector of the stone that summons Darna, Leonor Custodio, is Iza Calzado. Meanwhile, Narda’s brother Ricardo “Ding” Custodio who will also act as Narda’s sidekick is Zaijian Jaranilla. Rio Ferrer, who once played Darna in a movie back in 1979, will be Roberta Ferrer Custodio.
And who will be taking on the role of Narda’s love interest? It’s none other than Joshua Garcia! He will be portraying Brian Samonte Robles, who is a policeman.
On the other hand, Kiko Estrada will also be taking on a seemingly important role as the son of the town’s mayor, Noah Ballesteros.
Notably missing from the lineup is the person who will be cast as Narda’s archnemesis, Valentina, although the actor playing her sidekick and lover Ali Corpus was already determined to be Mark Manicad. Guess we’ll have to keep our eyes peeled for updates!
As of now, the production team has yet to set a premiere date but they are expected to start filming this month.
Other cast members of “Darna: The TV Series” include Joj Agpangan, Young JV, L.A. Santos, Gerard Acao, Tart Carlos, Marvin Yap, Zeppi Borromeo, Yogo Singh, Simon Ibarra, Levi Ignacio, and Richard Quan.
