Maris Racal just turned 23 on Tuesday, September 22, and she is celebrating it with the release of her latest single “Not For Me.”

“Finally! I have been dying to share this secret with you for months,” Maris wrote on the caption of her Instagram post. “Tonight at midnight, as I turn 23, celebrate with me by listening to my gift for you, a song that I have worked so hard on.”
The song features an upbeat melody but with sad, melancholic lyrics that Maris wrote herself. “But what if I don’t? / Where do I go home? / I know it’s my fault / And I leave tomorrow / Your love is a song / Can’t stop singing it / Your love is just too pretty / But it’s not for me,” the chorus goes.
Maris also credited OPM icon Rico Blanco for producing and arranging the song for her.

The music video premiered on YouTube at 12NN on Tuesday and has since received nearly 40,000 views.
