In a delightful commemoration of French gastronomy, the Maison Bukana Wines Launch with the support of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Philippines (CCIFP), at The Marketplace Shangri-La Plaza last June 13, 2024, marked a memorable afternoon. The event was part of “Goût de France 2024” festivities, a yearly celebration of French gastronomy introduced in 2015 by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs in partnership with celebrated chef Alain Ducasse.

The launching event was graced by the French Ambassador to the Philippines, Her Excellency Marie Fontanel, who shared heartwarming remarks regarding France’s wine-making legacy. Maison Bukana Wines co-founder, Nadine Lustre was also present along with The Marketplace Managing Director Christine “Tin” O. Tueres.
The event was a triumph in showcasing the sophistication and elegance of French gastronomy with Maison Bukana wines, paired masterfully with a curated selection of premium imported French cheeses, cold cuts, and luxury jams by The Fruit Garden. Guests had the unique opportunity to indulge in a sensory journey, savoring each expression of Maison Bukana’s wines: Les Beaux Jours, Vendange d’Ete, and Presqu’ile.
The highlight of the evening was the tasting experience conducted by Mr Kevin Charuel, the Managing Director of the CCIFP. As a connoisseur of fine wines and spirits and a certified professional in the field, Kevin shared his expertise in the field of vinification and pairing fine wine with cheese. His engaging presentation provided those present with a deeper understanding of the art and science behind perfect pairings, making the sampling process even more enriching.

Adding to the event’s charm was a lavish Grazing Table, a visual and refined culinary palate. This was laden with a variety of French brands, featuring cheeses, jams, cut fruits, and bread. Each item was carefully selected to pair perfectly with Maison Bukana wines, offering guests a diverse range of flavors and textures to explore.
